Chess is racist

It is racist that white begins first in a chess game. Magnus Carson and Anish Girl, along with other grandmasters advocate for black to begin first. They now have the support of the famous uscf ranked 471 peak 492 chess prodigy, the leading authority on the OP 4 move checkmate, who challenged Magnus Carson handicapped but was ignored. https://www.moveforequality.com/

Chess.com should now have affirmative action, and change the rules to make black move first.

Only the umpteen millionth time someone has claimed that chess is racist... yawn...

Even if Black moved first, chess would be just as racist as before. Think about it - or not, I don't care tongue.png

If it’s racist...then you are calling Indians racist

Think about it, the best way to solve this is by having a dice roll or coin flip or RPS game before the game ti see who goes first

When you call chess racist on this basis you highlight that you do not comprehend racism. You also make light of real racism that is alive and well, especially in your nation.

Calling Chess.com racist is the same as you being racist

How so? Because chess was invented in India?

White did not move first until the nineteenth century. Also, the pieces were red and black for much longer than they have been white and black.

Unsure if it's race-baiting or just a joke. It sucks either way.

I agree with Ziryab's first comment not to make light of racism.  You remind me of the story of the boy who cried wolf.

I wish this was the case in real life.

How does black moving first change anything, isn’t it racist white?

That's how the game was played for centuries. Old game scores have been modified to conceal the fact.

In the McDonnell -- De Labourdonnais matches (1834), for instance, the players kept the same colors throughout each match, but alternated first move. Hence, half the games played were actually mirror images of how they appear in the game scores.
