What about Fred Mertz? Does anybody remember the Mertzes any more? You know --Fred and Ethel? What about the Ricardos?
What if the Martians finally land on Earth, and they ask about Lucy and Ethel, but no one here remembers them?! Like what if the Martians start talking in a Spanish accent and they say "Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do!!" and no one here laughs?! Will the Martians get really really upset and destroy the planet?! Shouldn't we try to prevent this? If so, how??

BTW: Keanu Reeves did not make a very good Klaatu, though he is rather otherworldly.
Ah, Keanu Reeves... what a career he's had. Not many of his fellow actors have become big time movie stars by demonstrating an acting range that goes all the way from A to B.
