Im talking about the message that comes from chess.com that says somebody cheated heres your points back. I never think somebody cheated just because i lost. And ive never reported anybody. At all.
Chess makes you depressed?
I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten depressed after losing a lot in Chess. I've lost 200 points in weeks. I think I need to quit playing this game because it's making me hate myself. I'm worried I'm brain damaged or something.
ive done that. it feels terrible. but take a break for a week and come back. that helps me. but if chess makes you feel sad it might be best if you dont play. but if you push through that hardship. it will be worth it. good luck

I feel you trust me I do, losing is painful in general and there is no way around it, I usually don't go back over a game that I lost right away, but analyzing your games, especially the ones you lose are important and will help make you a better player some friendly advice.
Chess helps with my anxiety. When stressing over something I cannot address, a game helps me to slow down and focus on something other than my problems. Mind you, I may not be "good" but I play chess as part of therapy. I may get tilted in games, but frustration from a game is better than anxiety attacks.
I dont know if i would label it depressed but it doesnt feel good when i lose. Keep in mind that some people (losers) cheat. I hadnt gotten any 'somebody cheated you' measages in 4 months. I was proud of the chess.com community. But...to my chagrin. This morning. I got a new message.
