Chess Music To Increase Spirit?

Music, and Sport. They go together like Bananas and Oranges. Like Birds and Feathers. Like Strawberries, and Coffee.

To say that Music is used to supplement Sport training is an understatement. Headphones can be seen hanging on the ears of every athlete while he prepares for his next competition.

In physical sport, the term used colloquially to describe this type of music is "Pump up Music". This music is intended to raise the spirit of the listener to aid in overcoming the anxiety associated with his next battle.

It got me thinking: Should us Chess players do the same? Is there a place for music in Chess? Is there any particular "Pump up" chess music anyone can recommend?

Thank you all.

I just listen to the same music (instrumental jazz/blues) as I do normally. I'm not sure if it helps me play better, or distracts me - but it does add to the enjoyment of blitz games.

Definitely bro, it's called "Workout Music". Music (especially EDMs by Hardwell and Martin Garrix) are part of Bullet repertoire as well. Most people lose to me whenever songs like Animals are being played.

You could always play "One Night in Bangkok" (available on Youtube) while playing chess.
