a) I know you're not racist. Fortunately, very few people nowadays in civilised countries are racist, and racism is highly regarded with great contempt. When I said that, I was just kidding; hardly knowing you at all, I would never, even for a second, ever dare to suggest that you are part of that shameful and despicable minority that racists are.
