Chess players have no sense of humor

Je sais pas si quelqu un parle français sa serai bien :)
Google "translate" gave me this:
I do not know if someone speaks French well be hisGoogle Translate is bad at translating sentences, but, either I'm worse at French than I thought, or that sentence has terrible grammar. Of course, bad original grammar + bad translator is more terrible than just bad translator.
I have hardly practised my French in two years, but I would say that a better original sentence would be: ‘Je ne sais pas si quelqu'un parle français; ça serait bien.’ The translation would be: ‘I do not know if anyone speaks French; that would be good.’
Or maybe my French is terrible. I hope that is the case, because, otherwise, it would be a shame that I can speak better French than a Frenchman (but no surprise, since I can already speak better English than many Englishmen and Americans).

Not true. From Chess ebook: A group of chess enthusiasts had checked into a hotel, and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse.
"But why?" they asked, as they moved off.
"Because," he said, "I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer."
