I'm a night-hawk by choice.
Chess players: how late do you stay up?

I'm up later at night than I should due to my habit of waking near dawn. If I stay up until 1am then wake at six, I become sleep deprived. I'm generally then not at my best as the day continues. At my age it might be a good idea for me to get to sleep by 11 or shortly thereafter.

About 11 on school nights, and however late I feel like on weekends/days off. Too bad I suck at playing when it's like 3 am

Usually stay up until 12 or 1 or even 2 sometimes. I get my best chess study time early in the morning. Quiet, no distractions. But I have to be careful about making difficult "late night moves" -- gotten in trouble many a time.

Late night moves can ruin a great game, I've set up a rule for myself to never move a piece after midnight, but I've broke my own rule to many times.

What's the earliest time you allow yourself to make moves? Isn't it nearly always after midnight?
Go to bed at maybe 2 a.m. and have to wake up a few times per night since my 6-months baby is very communicative
That would be a sign the baby is highly intelligent.
Or, it could be a sign the baby doesn't know it's four in the morning
