The upcoming version (1.35) will be on the Mac App Store in few days and it will use SF8 for analyzing.

Chess Insight looks great. What a pity that it's not available on the German App Store!

Chess Insight will come back as soon as possible the previous version 1.42 had an issue could lead to potential data corruption and data loss to prevent that I removed the software temporary from the store. The new version 1.43 in Apple review last 4 days, hopefully quite soon it will be back.

I know you wrote that you're running SF8 - but is it possible to swap out engines with Chess Insight?

@juicesharp

your app looks very nice and fills a void. Can you play against the engine in the app? There are times I like to finish the game to its conclusion, or play a different line at a critical point in the game.

If you are talking about this site, try clearing your cache.

You can certainly run analysis on existing games but I never tried to run a game against the engine from scratch.

But, TBH, while the app looks nice, I didn't have a great user experience with it... and ended up jumping off it before I got to know it intricately.

I ended up pulling the trigger on HIARCS Deep and am really, really happy with it. You can play against HIARCS.

I just bought Chess Insight and am impressed. The GUI is very nice and most of the things I want to do are intuitive. My only complaint is that I can't print a game out!? What am I missing?
