It happened to me too. During Covid my rating dropped 150 points. It's been a week since I'm ok now, and I can't get to my normal level.
I know this is a bit old but I got covid last week (positive test) and I’ve dropped 150 points since then! I’m way, way, way down and off the pace. It’s so interesting, I hadn’t really thought of this as a symptom!
Me too....Im down 250 odd points for bullet...cant concentrate or just see basic moves....bit worried to be fair...
Once I started to get through the worst I made up the points quite quickly so hopefully your recovery is speedy and you can get back to enjoying your normal ranking

I didn't notice it but then again. I got a vaccine .....and a booster......and a 2nd booster. my scores all go up after each shot. maybe that would make people get vaccinated. j/k. there is no correlation.....or is there.

I’m eight days into it. I’m OK after a couple days of hell but all my ratings, including puzzles, have dropped 100+ points or so. I am not a very good chess player but I miss obvious moves and do dumb stuff. I mean dumber than usual 😀.
Take a break until you recover. Get some fresh air.
Think you can beat me?

Strangely enough, I increased my rating when I caught covid (a month ago)
Same thing happened to me. Quite disturbing. Dropped 200 points in a few days. I'm at day 5, isolating and trying to kill time with some chess. Time to take a break for a few days I guess.....

I'm down 150+ points or so on rapid, I was on trajectory pass 1900 soon. If it doesn't come back I may just resign. Life is nothing without chess, and if the virus took my ability to play well, then it has taken everything.
Nullupagus, don't worry. I'm fully recovered and my rating is on it's way back to where it was. Feel better!!!
When I was sick with Covid-19 my rating dropped like a brick - just could not concentrate at all. Was wondering if anyone else has noticed this?
