Chess school for kids in York needed.

Nowadays chess aren't this popular as an additional activity in school are they? A little kiddo (11YO) wanted to sign up for some chess lessons but in his school they don't organize any chess classes or anything like that so the only way for him to develop his skill in this game is to sign up to some club or chess school. The problem is that its very hard to find some clubs for youth in York, even specific sports sites, created to answer the question: where to sign up for sport activity? like this one: https://zoptamo.com/uk isn't helping at all (no outcomes under chess). So to anyone with appropriate knowledge on this topic: can you recommend any chess school for youth in York?
