How right you are. But I'm not going to a fundraiser to complain about 5 dollars (and not tell anyone I'm going to blow the whole 5 dollars later on).

Fair enough. Having been to (and hosted) numerous fundraisers I think I have quite a bit of insight to "the other side". I just don't agree with the actions in this particular instance, that's all. If it was a couple thousand, or even a thousand dollars I would understand. But five bucks? Really?
His actions just shed a bad light on this particular event. I have no reason to doubt that he is capable of redeeming himself if the situation were different.
