Chess variants ?

By "chess variants", I mean things like chess960, killer chess,  etc.

 

I'm finding the various chess variants very fun to play and have been playing them more than normal chess.  (BTW, is there a name for "normal" chess in the chess circles?  I guess "chess" is probably it, but just in case..)

 

Do you play chess variants?

Any particular variant that you recommend?

I'm really enjoying 960 because it's normal chess sans theory. Very fun, but not as wild as I expected it would be.

I'm not interested in variants that are a different game.

pawns move move forward and left or forward and right (one square diagonaly) and can take straight forward only
