Chess with multiple browser tabs open

Not that I want to cause too much trouble here, but might I ask about the effects of keeping multiple browser tabs open whilst playing the internet chess?
I found you can have multiple things displayed on tabs in the browser and wondered
1) will this slow down the chess connection game?
2) will the multiple browser tab technology tempt the chess player to flip "to and fro" amongst the web tabs and not play the chess with his full mental faculties?
3) will the player in fact, find the materials on the alternate tabs engrossing to the extent that he forgets the chess game altogether?
As far as technical support: I am running a 486DX/33Mhz processor, and connected to the internet with a dedicated external 14400bps (compressed) modem, and using Netscape Navigator 2.0
Thanks!
I think you should upgrade your equipment. 486 33mhz was introduced in 1989 or 1990.
netscape 2 was 1996.
did netscape navigator 2 have tabs at all?
I doubt you can play chess.com on that equipment.
is this post meant to be funny?
