Chess.com Computer level 10

I have played computer a number of times at level 10. Usually only half trying in front of the tv, not really calculating etc and taking no more than seconds for each move i usually last 30 to 40 moves and take most of its pieces as long as i follow basic principles. Im basically a correspondence player though so playing essentially blitz against computer is not my cup of tea, i just use it for practice. I would like to draw though maybe ill set that as a goal of sorts

Stockfish would never blunder on move 4 that way. Not believable.

Once I got into a seemingly winning position against the lvl 10 but neglected to realize that black(I was white) could erect a fortress. I eventually drew the game with rook and pawn against bishop. I am still salty

Shiva man you don’t have to be a GM to beat lvl 10 you just have to not fall into its traps

I’ve won on my second try, I notice it made a bad move so the other higher levels would have seen it.

does anyone know how to beat level 10 here please!

The sad thing is that my rating is around 800 but I can beat a lvl 6 bot......

Is it a good idea to practice your opening repertoire against computer level 10? For instance, if you play e4 as a first move against your opponents, you play multiple games against computer level 10 using e4 as a first move. And, as black, just trying to respond to his various openings. Playing the first, I don't know, 15 moves for instance?

What do you think?

If everyone could beat it, it wouldn't be comparable to a solid GM. Level 10 computer is 2 600 Elo, so for someone to have a chance of ever beating it, you either have to be very skilled player (International master level or comparable to it) and beat it once in a while, or you have to be somewhat less skilled and beat it once in like 50 games.

Here is your answer. You can easily beat Chess.com Level 10. His elo rating is not 2600. Probably 1800 near to Chess Titan.

How come? In multiple forum posts, it has been stated that level 10 is 2 600 Elo. Level 1 is 400, and it goes up by 200 points every level except for level 10. Level 9 is 2 000 Elo.

Apart from that, I found this screenshot:

Those are false. Those Elo ratings are not right. Who verify this? Chess.com level 10 Elo rating somewhere near 1800. Not that much strong. I have evidence. I am going to give you two games, one I start from Black position and Another is From White Position. You can repeat same move over and over Chess.com Computer level 10 will lose every time.

Game No. 1 (Where I am White and Computer 10 Lvl is Black)

@sahinmallick99

Game No. 2 (Where I am Black and Computer 10 Lvl is White)

@sahinmallick99

Here it is. I am not GM or something Master level player. A beginner level chess player can handle level 10. As far as the Elo rating. My opinion it is somewhere 1600 to 1800. I give you evidence just try to follow those move. You will win with White or Black everytime.

I can't speculate how did you do it, and I can't speculate what is the real rating of level 10, because I don't think any member of staff stated real Elo for their computer levels in any official manner. I have just repeated what others before me already said, and if they are wrong, so am I.

What I can say is that I gave level 10 a test a few weeks ago. I tested it against Stockfish 8 (as pgn chessbook uses it). Stockfish 8 is stronger than any human for sure, and the gap is not that small (3350+ Elo). Well, of course level 10 on chess.com lost the game, but it was a long game. It wasn't a landslide either (stockfish had 2 pawns more, and that is it). It ended after 70 something moves and Stockfish 8 won after it promoted a pawn. I really don't believe 1 600 or 1 800 Elo could put that kind of a game against it.

So how did you beat it, I really don't know. I can only congratulate you on that.

Yes, you are right.

i guess some apps just go on finding technical glitches in the play of computer lvl 10. or some people just have very good openings. My guess would be that the opening matter the most. I just won from lvl 10 but i won in guest T^T. Any strong opening will give a decent advantage against any type of player, be it computer or human.

Just click on the "switch sides" button over and over. The computer will end up beating itself.
