Chess.com resetting time?

Does Chess.com sometimes add time to an opponents clock? I swear they just did. ICC.com or whoever they were use to do so often.  Bad practice if it is going on. Bad connection  is the players problem .

Not only that, but they hack your clock too. You don't wanna know, I tell you. It's horrible conspiracy stuff. Don't forget to check if the chess men are looking through your windows at night when you sleep.

[Edited for language - Mod.] the ICC used to reset time based on poor internet connections. It is a valid question.

I am sure they added time to the clock and  I want  to know  under  what  circumstances  they do this.

Only when your opponent has less time than you, I wouldn't worry about it.

when you have lag it seems like the other players clock is running when in reality your move havent been send to chess.com thats why the lost time is yours not the opponent.

Thanks Martin Stahl and Caronte 1 for the intelligent answers. I knew the clock changed. Maybe a necessary evil but I HATE this aspect of online chess. Chess.com deals with it much better than ICC - the ICC was ridiculous.
