Hyper slow and not responsive, I am moving to chess24.com
I have to say I agree with all of the above comments. For me, chess.com used to work fine. Now it is very slow on my home computer. It is the only site I have problems with and I have no problems with either my computer or ISP. I am not sure what the issue is on chess.com's end, but that is definitely where the issue is. It also does not work on ANY browser. I like the site a lot, but I am not looking for alternatives. I know they are trying, but I lose games all the time becuase I cant move my pieces for 15-20 seconds at a time. It seems to happen as the game progresses. In any case, I agree with the above commenter who said that it is ridiculous for a chess website to not ensure that games don't get lost because of application design and bandwidth issues on their systems. I think I am done with this place. Anyone suggest alternatives that actually work?

Oh, hey Hergott ... I just saw your comment after writing my comment asking for suggestions of chess websites that actually work. Just tried chess24.com. Chess.com has some better features ... but chess24.com is way superior in one fundamental respect ... I can play a freaking game of chess without losing because I can't move my pieces! Chess24.com therefore wins.

I am having the same problem. That is why I play daily chess, also known as correspondence chess or postal chess, because it gives me all day to get the machine to make the move I want it to make. They also have move confirmation because the touchpad on this machine clicks on things just because the cursor is over them. This is a new computer too. When I was using Microsoft Edge the lag was absolutely horrible. I downloaded Google Chrome in about ten minutes and it is much more bearable. I didn't believe the web browser I was using would make any difference. It did. If you would like to talk about his more either message me or leave a comment in my blog on this same subject.
