Indeed. When I'm scheduled to play in a tourney on this site, it's about the only time I go through my opening prep, practice some mating combos, set up the ol' board & pieces and workout some exercises from TYCIQ (timed of course)...basically refreshing myself. I expect everything but suspect no one (of cheating). I am at peace with how I played no matter if I advance from my group or not.
Open games however, I tend to experiment. If I get dunked on because I went out on a limb, cool.
There's nothing wrong about complaining on that in the forums, though, if people are dissatisfied with the service. Not only the "cheating" forums (which nobody reads anyway) but the general forums - as a way to get a response (and maybe the rather overdue ACTION on this issue) from staff.
This cheating issue in the standard pool has been a problem for a while.
I saw that you suggest that people "just leave" chess.com if they aren't happy - which is a very unfriendly piece of advice, if I ever saw one.
