Chess.com you Twits!

There's nothing wrong about complaining on that in the forums, though, if people are dissatisfied with the service. Not only the "cheating" forums (which nobody reads anyway) but the general forums - as a way to get a response (and maybe the rather overdue ACTION on this issue) from staff.

This cheating issue in the standard pool has been a problem for a while.

I saw that you suggest that people "just leave" chess.com if they aren't happy - which is a very unfriendly piece of advice, if I ever saw one.

Indeed. When I'm scheduled to play in a tourney on this site, it's about the only time I go through my opening prep, practice some mating combos, set up the ol' board & pieces and workout some exercises from TYCIQ (timed of course)...basically refreshing myself. I expect everything but suspect no one (of cheating). I am at peace with how I played no matter if I advance from my group or not.

Open games however, I tend to experiment. If I get dunked on because I went out on a limb, cool.

Bitching here is quite all right. It's shameful when the effort of a long game goes to waste like that.

You put your time and effort, you want to improve your ratings. ratings really don't matter. yes, you are a good player. don't tell us you play for a number.

The standard time control pool has to be monitored more closely. What's going on there is a shame.

It's not enough to monitor the 2000+ rated players in that pool - as the cheaters simply keep themselves below that threshhold by only cheating in some of their games. from what i've read here over the years, there is a focus on high rated players, which should make you feel good. i'm taken aback when i read how cheaters will play certain moves, and then make moves not recommended by said engine to try to escape the cheater designation.

i'm nowhere near your level, but, i never think about it. if a cheat beats me, they are only fooling themselves. so i lose rating points. so what? it's not like i'm playing in the candidates tournament next year.

First let me say I'm not defending xplayers opponent, but it is possible to play a game with zero inaccuracies mistakes or blunders. I've done it once. I even made a topic on the game but nobody commented, perhaps they thought I cheated.

najdorf96

Because of some players cheating, I set my minimum to as close to my rating and my max @ 100+ higher. I figure if anyone is "using" I won't get too much points docked.

As it is, I always pay attention to how I'm playing rather than my opponent. If I were like you, X, I would use it as motivation to get better. You will reach 1900+ no doubt (as I have twice) as obviously you seem to be the studious type. As many here have mentioned, some cheaters will get caught; most will not. They're not real chess lovers anyways. Why sweat the small stuff?

<AlCzervik> please don't start telling me what should matter to me and what shouldn't matter to me.

Also don't tell me what "should make me feel good".

I didn't ask you how to feel and I didn't ask you what I need to be thinking. I think I can still manage these things on my own.

Thank you.

If you personally don't care about being cheated - that's fine with me too.

Diakonia

Looking at that game.  Its not exactly moves that are hard to find.

AlCzervik why are you even commenting to me??????????????

You have no idea of what I speak of you twit!!!!!!

You can't even beat computer easy ranked 1,000.

And you have the nerve to tell me why I am complaining about a person using a engine ranked 3,000!!!!

It is completely obvious chess.com needs better engine detections.

You did the right thing, These idi**ts do game crimes. We report agaisnt them and chess.com sends us a preformated text in back.

This is the correct way, publicaly nude up 'em..

and AlCzervik grow up kid, you do the same thing in every post. You think other are dumb.

you are responding to my post where i thought i was clear-bitching about rating numbers doesn't matter.

and, don't put words in my mouth. you are obviously proud of your prowess. my point is that it doesn't matter. the cream will always rise to the top.

reread my previous post.

You know after losing my games against this person.

I was upset.

Which truthfully I don't like thinking other people are being dishonest!

I went to check out the game to see where I went wrong etc.

As it turns out my opponent played perfectly!

Now before calling him a Stockfish Player.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt!

1 game playing perfect doesn't mean alot.

Alot of people do that.

So I did what most people do when they feel something fishy is going on.

I went to investigate the person's game archives!

I than stumbled on to this game

The person who played me was using the white pieces and he was the one with the 0-0-0  again!

This time in a 62 move game.

AlCzervik

did you report your opponent, or, are you seeking attention?

no need to start a thread about it. get with it.

X_PLAYER_J_X

This is the other game I played against the same person.

This person has been playing perfect chess for over 2 years!

He has a perfect win rate!

What will reporting him do?

They haven't caught him in 2 years.

i think it's quite funny how a kid that has been here for just over a month seems to know the members. this kid obviously rules.

X_PLAYER_J_X

Chess.com engine detection is broken.

They need to do an upgrade.

How can this person slip through the cracks for over 2 years.

again, did you report the player? cc, while fallible, does their best to rid the site of cheats. think you can do better? apply at cc.

What is wrong with you AlCzervik?

Seriously is this how you are as a person?

You try to shift the blame on to the victim!

What are you a lawyer?

I am the victim in this situation.

I don't need Attention.

If I was looking for attention.

I would create a forum named Attention Seeker!

I am looking for a playable atmosphere

Standard chess isn't even playable here.

What is worse is now 10 min is starting to be bad as well!
