Choosing my Opponent

I'm a new member and I like this site.  However, I have not been able to set the limits of the opponents the computer selects for me on Live Chess. Can anyone help me

When you say limits, do you mean their rating?  If so, when you first click on the Play Live Chess button and it loads up on your screen there should be a tab labeled "New Game", there you can set (via a drop down menu) how fast you want the game to be and then right below that is a Min Rating box and a Max Rating box.  There you can put the ratings of the players you want to play.  Say you want to play people rated 1100 to 1400, just type in 1100 on the Min Rating box and 1400 on the Max Rating box.

Hope that helps!

I believe you can set two numbers- a minimum and maximum- for the rating of the opponent you play. For example, if you are rated 1000 in blitz, you may set a minimum of 800 and maximum of 1200. This way, you get opponents at your skill level or slightly different. You can set this in live chess above the red button that says "start game." Hope you can find it, and hope this helps!

Thanks for all the advice.  I think it's necessary to make the game "unrated" to ensure that the challenge is made to players in the designated range.
