Clock hacking?

I had strange server error during my last game. With opponent having just 35 sec. remaining, and obviosely winning position for myself ( extra rock and extra 2.30 minute on my clock) chess.com suddely disconnected me from server disregard my Internet connection working fine and other sites working well. I was given loss by resignation as a result. It was second time in a month. Is it some server glitch or there is some hack which cheaters can use? Anyone with similar experience?

Definitely not hacking: disconnects can happen for a lot of reasons and the disconnect doesn't mean your local connection is down just that something caused you to lose connection with the Chess.com Live server.

Ok I got a trol. Anyone else had similar experiense? Internet connection was just at the moment chess com dosconnected me- I checked it specifically. Either there is some hack allowing not honedt opponent to use this trick or chess.com server is malfunctioning.

If you search the forums for "disconnect", you'll find that lots of people have experienced a similar problem occasionally - there is no hack, as the server is just waiting for the moves from each player and not anything else. All your opponent can do is not send his move to the server, and that only means that they lose time: what has happened is that your internet connection has NOT been fine for that period of time: it doesn't matter if you have a really big, fast pipe - that pipe has become blocked for that period of time. It doesn't affect video or web pages because they load content ahad of time, so your device can keep playing what has already been downloaded even though the internet connection might have been down for a short while; games are not like that, as you need your connection at the exact time that you want to make your move.

If it happens again to you, try adjusting your live chess settings or some of the other things recommended in the two links I supplied.
