ok, sounds like you have some rust to lose.
keep playing, studying and doing tactical puzzles.......all good. If you stay to the slower time limits, you would be best off ( my opinion), as it gives you more time to evaluate the position.

I was a long time without playing chess, since I work on a ship, and there is few time and almost no players (I mean good players) to develop my chess knowledge. I found this great site and I am struggling to get my old experience and skills back. What do you people suggest for me to get better? Blitz games, 24 hrs games, keep doing the lessons (I am already doing this)... What's the better way to improve again? When I be back to the ship, I have a small internet connection so I can continue to study in my spare time. What do you good people suggest for me? Thanks in advance for the help.
