I wouldn't put too much stock in those ratings first of all.
You could probably think of them as ratings for casual length games without a clock (~30 minute game maybe).

I'm not sure if anyone actually has an answer to this, but when then computer's strength is listed as "1600" or "2000+" (not the live blitz computer, the one in the "play" dropdown) what time control is that meant for?
That is, is the 1600, medium computer meant to play at that strength in a 5/10/30/60 minute game? The difference is pretty large, so I'm curious.
