i have never used this service
what did you think about it?
I tried it once and thought it was weird. Didn't understand why some moves got impossibly high ratings like 5000 whereas others got impossibly low like 300.

It seems like it gives odd results sometimes, but other times it does well. It rates my blitz games reasonably close to what my blitz rating is on here. However, if you devastate your opponent, and find very good moves in the first few non-opening theory moves, your rating could be something silly, like 2200-2400 (if you are not a master). Maybe it's possible to get lucky and play that strongly occasionally (i.e., sporadically playing 300-400 stronger than you rating), but I am not confident in those ratings.

I think the moves that are rated 300 level are the ones that are so easy to find that they look natural to someone who is very weak. Getting a crushing position is the hard part, and bringing it to finality is usually much easier.
It rated one of the OTB games I lost at 3000, so I've stopped using the service since then.
I think it still needs some tweaking...

That's funny.

So you lost to a 3500? :)

My opponent's play was rated 3280 if I remember correctly
Admittedly, this is a game where we both played ok, but I still think their rating system is not completely on the money
Hello, All!
I recently came across chesszen.com, which is a system that rates both sides of a PGN that is plugged in. What does everyone think of this service? I have only plugged in my blitz games, and it seems reasonably accurate. Have you had any experience with it? Do you think it is a decent way of assessing progress? Additional thoughts?
