Bumping this up, as I'm curious too.

This is one that I've found during my preliminary research, and it seems promising so far. However, I have no direct experience with it:

I use HIARCS and recommend it for Mac.

HIARCS boasts the ability to import Chessbase files. Have you had experience with that? Does it work well?

I've chosen HIARCS. So far, it's excellent. In fact, I much prefer it to the lumbering ChessBase I'd used for years before.

Thank you for the update on this! I'm glad to hear that HIARCS is working well for you. I expect that, before too long, I'll be following your example and getting it myself.
