Nope.
Death to the Ruy Lopez
... Bad troll
Ruy Lopez has many variations, some are tactical, some are stractical and some are drawish, don't really understand the hate.. Would you hate the Sicilian as well?

<Ruy Lopez has many variations, some are tactical, some are stractical>
I didn't see any "stractical" versions in this match :)
Death to the Ruy.

Maybe you should play another game then, like checkers if you can't see the different ruy lopezes Carlsen used to battle for a win in this WC.
Noob.

Maybe your baby better make some other plans!

The different ruy lopezes Carlsen used to battle for win were still almost all draws, pallie.
Death to the Ruy.

>Lets get to the root of the problem. After 1 e4, death to e5! It can also lead to the Petrov, which is what all those Berlin drawmasters will switch to when their beloved Ruy is banned.<
A keen point. Although everyone knows that the Petrov is a chump opening so even someone as inefficacious as Karjakan might avoid playing it.
patzers wait all game for opponents to make a mistake. these upper GM's are waiting for 1 mistake in ten games. It is not mentally efficient to play for wins every game.

>It is not mentally efficient to play for wins every game.<
No doubt, and drawing is an important part of chess match strategy. Ideally you win as white and draw as black, but draws are always better than losses.
But this isn't about playing for wins or waiting for mistakes. This about DUMPING the Ruy Lopez from your chess repertoire, for the betterment of all of us. Come on, check your own games. How great has it been for you, really?
Death to the Ruy.

Ruy Lopez died over 400 years ago. He famously advised his followers to arrange the seating such that their opponents would be forced to look into the sun. These are the kind of tactics a scoundrel will resort to when they know their favorite opening is trash.

Now that the WCC is over, and we all saw the Ruy Lopez being used OVER AND OVER TO NO EFFECT, it's time for the rest of the chess community to band together and boycott this turgid and soul-sucking opening.
Don't use it anymore. Just don't. Do yourself, your chess friends, and the potential chess market a huge favor and completely eliminate the "Spanish Opening" from your repertoire. Learn something new, and become a better player and chess citizen for it.
Death to the Ruy Lopez!!

That doesn't solve the root of the problem though. Without the Ruy, there will still be draws in chess, just with other openings. So that's why I don't say death to the Ruy - instead, I say DEATH TO CHESS!!!!! When people stop playing chess once and for all, we will finally be able to stop worrying about the problem of draws in chess.

I disagree. A sound opening and cheesy gamesmanship will get you further than a sound opening.
