Defending under pressure!

This is a 3+0 game I played that I thought was interesting because as white, I was tied down and didn't have anything to do. However, my opponent tried to do something too soon, in my opinion, giving me some nice counterchances, and letting me go.

I like defending, but some positions are simply bad, with no chances of counterattacks, as long as they're played correctly.

What do you think?

First, i have absolutely no faith in the Grand Prix Attack. I used to play that trash successfully myself, but no more, never again.

Second, your opponent was still crushing you with 35....b4.
Not hard to find.

Third, I'm not going to try to analyze any blitz game on the app on my cellphone while possibly under the influence.

Yeah, seemed like your opponent expected the c pawn to win itself. Instead of trying to milk the position more / create another target black traded pieces and suddenly a drawish endgame started to appear on the horison. I didn't like trading knights or a pair of rooks for black. 36...fxg is a move. Bb5 with Bc4 in the opening looked weird (I don't think black is unhappy with Bd7 for example), but I'm not a grand prix player so maybe that's normal or something. Those are my thoughts.

Lol maybe my opponent was having a bad day.

In the first game we played, he basically hung a pawn and later the exchange and lost in under 25 moves.
