Disconnection for no reason

I just lost a game claiming I had abandoned the game due to disconnecting, when my connection was fine. My opponents clock was below mine seconds before this happened and upon review it shows otherwise. This has happened to me too frequently lately. I tried to contact customer support after the other games, but all I got was the Bot Assistant, with advice that did not pertain to the issue. So, again I wasted over a half hour and lost rating points. I rarely resign, nor do I believe in abandoning games. This is very frustrating because it is happening too frequently lately. I am truly contemplating whether I will continue my membership on Chess.com. It’s a shame because I enjoyed playing here and look forward to it, but the last two weeks and this morning has harmed the experience.

Your WiFi is the problem. If you are in a place with spotty connection, it will say game abandoned if you are disconnected from the WiFi. Try moving to a place with better connection.

If you are offline an come back on, your opponent’s clock will be reimbursed the time that you were offline.

My Wi-Fi had three bars. There was no disconnection message pending at the time.
