So, I was destroying someone, you know, trying to get my pathetic rating up, and I was one move from checkmate. Guy does the usual stall tactic of wasting time. Suddenly, it says I lost because disconnected?? First, my data and WiFi are on and perfect. Second, I’m a premium member so I’m supposed to have disconnect protection even though that didn’t really happen at all. There was no disconnect. Why should I continue to pay if I’m not getting the perks of paying? Bottom line, this is b.s.

Same thing just happened to me and I know it’s not my internet or cookies or what they say it is in the help forum
The server is currently restarting, you should have seen a red warning banner in live chess for the last 90 min or so. I believe everyone on the site is currently waiting for it to finish

Same thing happens to me. It always happens when I am winning, which makes me think some bad actors have a way of communicating with and disrupting your connection when you are winning them. It is neither the website nor your computer because if you logged in on a different computer, you will be able to.

Yes, this has just happened to me too about 10 minutes ago. The servers are no longer reliable on chess.com. More than 5 - 10% of my games get disconnected this way, and I am in a location with a strong connection to a fast modem. I’m having no problems with any other websites

The chess ratings you have are no longer reliable when you lose more than 5% of your games due to unreliable servers
Really annoying. I’m getting disconnected every game so I reverted to using this old account with a lower rating thinking I’d be bothered less. I’m bothered more because now people with ratings 400 points lower than me are winning. I never have this problem. My internet connection is very strong. I thought it was an issue with the chess.com app on my iPad because I was able to get 1 full game with my phone using the same connection.

Yeah I can’t even get a game started right now the servers are so bad it won’t even find an opponent. All well back to lichess for a wile. Sucks cuz I prefer the interface here.
Live chess is now working again for me
