It's an option for online chess. There's a drop down menu.

Im also looking inside the window that opens when you click "Play > Online chess" and cant find it there either.

It's when you start a new game. The dropdown starts as Standard but you can change it to Chess960.

Weird when I clock on start game, it just starts the game straight away. I got 2 games started just from tryng this. But your link worked and started a chess960 game.

I thought "Start new game" was the same as the big orange "play now" button.
If you click on someone's user name there is a link on the lefthand side
"Challenge to play".
Click on that... the beneath "Select game options" there is a box saying "Play standard chess", if you click on the black triangle another option will appear "Chess 960".
This doesn't guarantee that the person will be receptive to a challenge of course.

Thanks! Alapin-Delectate isnt not available to challenges according to the website, but I have other challenge prospects so I'm good.

And it's easy to fake innocence when your account is closed and your content removed.
Do you need membership to be able to play chess960 on chess.com? I cant find anywhere on the site where i can do it.
