Yes, daily games count for book awards. You have to match the move order. If you click on one, you'll see a link which gives the exact move order for the opening.

I've done daily games where I have done openings/defenses/attacks that I haven't unlocked in the "Books" section of awards. However, upon completion of the game I did not unlock the achievement. Does anyone know if it doesn't count in dailies?
