because blitz is blitz and it's why I don't play it anymore
I'd aim for an hour of chess study a day, at first. Use that as a benchmark. See how your progress is, after a week or so.
Then you can add more time (or subtract time) as needed, depending on your comfort level.
(Keep in mind that chess study is not the same as chess play. Playing time should not be counted as part of study time.)

hmm ok of that study time, how much should be books, how much should be master games, etc?
if its the truth then why are you so bad?
For an adult with my level of experience, and having only really been pumping at this seriously for five weeks (yes...five weeks), I'm most definitely not bad. Some of you need to realize that when many of us were your age, we were doing things other than playing Chess. Dating, playing sports, traveling, spending time with family and friends. You know - an actual life.
i'd rather put in the hard work when im younger so i can enjoy my life when im in my 30's to 70's
hmm ok of that study time, how much should be books, how much should be master games, etc?
Everyone is different, with their attention span and goals, etc.
Though you could try something like this:
Monday: 25 mins opening study - 5 mins break - 25 mins tactic puzzles
Tuesday: 25 mins middlegame study - 5 mins break - 25 mins tactic puzzles
Wednesday: 25 mins endgame study - 5 mins break - 25 mins tactic puzzles
Etc...
Really, this is a training schedule that you'd have to create yourself, through trial and error, and seeing what works for you. For some players, 25-minute blocks of study might seem too long. For others, 25-minute blocks are not nearly long enough ...

oh ok i will trial and error then since i also think that theres too much opening study and too less puzzle time
Right. Age does not matter in chess after all. If I am a nobody, then what are you? A speck of dust?
people act like you can't have a "normal" childhood and still play chess
If you're constantly studying, at tournaments, being coached all throughout your childhood - I'm sorry but no...that's not a normal childhood. I didn't say it was bad but it's definitely not what 99% do.
Because 99% of them are AVERAGE. We are here to prove ourselves to be 'out of the ordinary'. If you don't want this community, then get your butt outta here.

that's also what 99% of us on cc haven't done; coaching, lessons doesn't mean you're automatically a good player

I didn't say it was bad but it's definitely not what 99% do. Once you're 18-21, you've missed out on so many important aspects of growing up that you're basically just the weird kid who plays chess. Everybody else is busy with other things.
Partially true.
Though it happens in other pursuits, too. Some kids are in chess tournament halls. Others are in dance recitals. Others are in soccer practices. Others are in art studios . . .
So what are you trying to prove? You, a noob, abused, are telling me to not play chess? Oh come on, you can't force me to do that.
I hate my life, that's why I degrade my wife
Grabbed a paper plate to make a sandwich, and just ate the knife
My mother's screaming, "Please heal him, take him straight to Christ!"
Meet you in the street and slap you just to break the ice
Makes sense, I kinda got that feeling from you in the beginning.
so? welcome to the internet, reality doesnt matter here and people could care less on what a person has to say, including violators like you
It's "couldn't" care less. If they could care less, that means they care to some degree.
Let's end it here. You won. Happy?
