Hi Luke,
It is the case that puzzles help to improve your game. When you become a member of this site it allows you to do unlimited tactics. These tactics are timed. Part of being a strong chess player is having the ability to solve chess positions quickly. It is also good to review grandmaster games. Tactics puzzles are definitely an area in which you should spend a few minutes a day working on. The cerebellum learns information through a process called successive approximation. This means that the more you do something, the better you will understand. Your brain is looking to find patterns, these patterns will occur often. Basically, do lots of puzzles because I said so.

Hi,
So I just want to know if any of you find puzzles useful when studying? I enjoy puzzles but for me looking over GM games is more useful.
Leave any and all comments below. :)
