Do us girls have a psychological edge when playing with men?

My opinion to the header of this thread is, "No, women do not have the edge if the opponent plays the board, not the number or the avatar" with that as a given in thought never underestimate a female even on a psychological level. I have played female players and yes I have had my pride handed to me in fashion. Gender should never be an issue in this game, We are all equal.

"We're all equal". I agree but for the ratings. Lots of female chess players, and I mean lots, would hand me my pride on a plate.

why are women always called girls on here? Seems a little strange.

Because in otb-tournament chess the majority of women is below the age of 18, when its the other way around for men. Imagine a playinghall dominated by 50 year old women. I have not seen anything close. Imagine a plainghalll dominated by middleaged men. To me its easy.

Just talking the truth.

Not really. Whether she would have been able to in the past or not, Judit Polgar would most certainly beat Bobby Fischer now.

Of course Fischer is relevant. He had a mother didn't he, who was a woman. And his older sister, who was also a woman, taught him the rules of chess. So if it wasn't for women then Fischer might never have become world champion!

Had woman not been made, Adam would have never sinned.

If Eve had jumped off a bridge, would Adam have jumped too?

So they became real adults and therefore were expelled from the kindergarten, not a bad deal. Just try to think about Adam's fate spending his days alone there forever. *shiver*

One of the most traumatic periods of growing up for me was my first classroom that didn't have legos.

Probably not. But what did you mean that Eve did nothing wrong?

She accepted food from a snake. Obviously what she needed was some acetaminophen to get that fever down.

He had God, and the animals.

Animals don't work as well for some kinds of companionship as they do for others.

Not usually.

Here come the religious nuts with their delusional garbage. No,there is no evidence at all for the autheticity of any religion. If you want to believe in a sky-daddy then go ahead,do it.Don't kill our brain cells with your mind-numbingly ridiculous stories though.

This argument sounds really familiar. You better have an argument ready for these "religious nuts". Atheists have made plenty of good arguments against religion, and people have made plenty of good arguments supporting religion. Right now the debate is unresolved.

Fischer visited the Polgar family back when Judit was like 16 years old. Some people were saying that he would play a match against her. He agreed but his first demand was that it had to be Fischerrandom. That was fine but then he refused to play her because she was Jewish!

I just want you to know that your comment fails to suck the drainage out of my clogged pipes.
