I of course muffle my crying so no one is aware that I am bawling like a toddler over a board game.
do you ever rage in chess?

Rage is a strong word, but I do slap myself on the forehead when I make a stupid move. ( I also knock on wood when my opponent didn’t notice it)
Or I get a lil’ annoyed when I put my piece accidently on a wrong square.
And when I win, I do a lil’ victorydance . And then I touch my nipples.

If you haven't ever thrown your mouse across the room because you blundered a winning position, or ran out of time in one, are you even playing chess?
I'm making a joke

not all people will be like you, some are calm and unbothered when they lose, some don’t really go violent , some get extremely angry, it’s up to them

Don’t do physical self harm
juat starve yourself like I do
I like your idea of starving oneself, but rage is an emotion so short in time that by the time we feel hungry there's no rage anymore and we eat
Don't encourage starving yourself! Seriously. Nutrition is important and not eating at all is just asking for mental struggle that you don't need. Why handicap yourself and especially after losing, or already on tilt?
If anything, get something to eat when losing. Perhaps the lack of food is why you aren't playing as well as normally.
don't worry, we were just joking. But yeah, eating is a serious issue and everybody must eat well, including 3 pieces of fruit per day (don't forget about that).
I rage every time my opponent plays 2.Bf4 and I have to face another london system . Everyone who plays it at a sub 2000 level seems to have no knowledge of how the game works when you do something unorthodox, and while I score pretty well the games just are nowhere near as fun.
Also 1.d4 is far less common than 1.e4. Everytime they start with d4 I get my hopes up I can get to play a semislav, nimzo, or some other fun and dynamic opening. Then they play 2. Bf4.
Even when I try to play a dutch to forcefully choose how the opening goes they still play the exact same thing. They even play c3 when it does absolutely nothing, and it triggers me because there's still no great way to take advantage of it.

No rage. I just dink heavily.
