IM Atilla

I do not have any good websites to study on the three stages of the game. May I ask you how you are suppose to study on the three stages of the game? I was thinking literally just tactics and solving them, like endgame tactics middlegame tactics etc., however I quickly found out that chess is not 90% tactics and I am stuck on what to study to improve my chess. What am I suppose to study? Is it something like.. endgame = just look at high rated games and analysis? I will also read a chess book for 30 minutes during the 2hr practice.

I am looking for a Capablanca(or any other good book) game collection book, any suggestions?

Thanks

Dear badakhiladi,

I suggest you this book:

Capablanca: Move by Move

The games have a lot of annotations and it is easy to follow and can learn about all phase of the game by Capablanca's beautiful games.

I wish you will enjoy the games and reach your goals!

How do I improve my endgame?

IcyTexture
I am an 801 but I play like a 1100. I draw many games where I should win, and lose many games when I can draw. I also draw many 1100's. I've beaten a 1450 and drawn a 1600. How do I learn to win won games?

How high rated do you think a player can get from simply not blundering

Dear DragonPhoenixSlayer, A player who is not blundering is like a computer and can be a human world champion.

Dear DragonPhoenixSlayer, I suggest you to study tactics and annotated games about your openings to improve your middlegame play.

You see, everything and everyone that does make progress does make mistakes. The one which dosen't make progress dosen't make mistakes. Meaning its important not to find the best moves in all the positions in all of your games, but rather is important not to make mistakes. Have a nice day!!

Excellent question. You'll be only nervous if you play for MONEY, PRIZE etc..

1. You like chess, right? Then play! You love the game and get a challenge, just try your best.

2. Play for the quality of the moves, not the result, if you play well you will usually win.

3. Don't worry about the prizes, do you play chess only to make money?

If possible I don't even check what the prizes are till I actually win

4. If you are still nervous, god can take care of that.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

You can go to the restroom and pray!

And remember, the bible says that if you believe that you will recieve (to believers in jesus) (according to the will of god, meaning you are not asking for things that are bad for you)!

And believe me, it works.

Hope this helps!
