I think that some top players have been disturbed by how some of their opponents looked at them.
Do you have to look at your oponent eyes when you handshake them?

I think chess has a more subtle type of confrontation.
I don't know much about box but I assume that you have to look at your opponent, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to see his punches coming.
