Wrong coloured bishop and doubled a/h pawns is a draw also. It gives that defending side a glimmer of hope, some thing to play for after a weaker middlegame. Opposite coloured bishops are more often endgames than other endings, but by no means is it a guarantee.

Well, it also sucks that you can be 2 Kts up and still can't force a win. It's just a part of the game (the sizable draw margin).
