Does 99.5% accuracy by opponent mean they used engine?

I'm fairly new to chess.com.com and recently played a daily match against someone that was roughly 140 points above my at that time 1340 rating.

I got handled, meaning that they did pretty much everything perfectly. I confirmed that after I resigned on roughly move 25, and probably should have on move 20, as the game analysis showed their accuracy at 99.5% - wow.

So, is it likely that they used an engine given that almost perfect play?

No. People are allowed to use databases in daily. Games in databases often go out that far.
