Does advil affect your thinking?

I have a rated tourn. chess game in 1 hr 30mins and I have a big headache, if I were to take an advil will it affect my thinking? (ex. Make me drowsy)

Do make sure it's not on the list of banned substances though....

Well, you have a few brands of advil you can take. The sinus relief advil will either have a stimulant mixed in or it might make you drowsy (depending on if it's a day-time or night-time sinus relief) but advil itself (ibuprofen) is harmless if you are a regular guy and stick to the instructions on the bottle. Most likely you will not have any side effects.

edit: So yeah, just make sure it only says Advil on the bottle and not advil sinus relief or whatever.

I do not recommend Advil. If you don't get any side effects, great. But if you do, it could cause a drop in concentration (headache, Etc.) and that could affect your tournament results.
