you get furious cuz you weak...on the inside. Prob on the outside too actually.

wizardKM

Emotion does not always denote weakness----- ever hear of righteous anger??

JustBeatsy

Frustrated mainly. Because it's nearly always because I did something stupid. In hindsight...

jjupiter6

Do I get furious over a game that makes no difference to anything? No.

Hi

LetsReach2000OneDay

Even Magnus Carlsen gets furious when he loses from time to time. This NM called him weak lmao

wizardKM

The NM himself is most likely weak...psychological term called "projection"; whereby those who make accusations likely are guilty of said things themselves...🤔

freud is so last century man. Taking the piss out of people who get angry over a board game has little to do with my momma.... I hope!

Keep your emotions in check when you play chess. Constantly thinking about winning will cause your stress levels to rise. This is not good because it affects clarity. It is very easy to become angry when you make a blunder, lose a valuable piece, or a tactical error loses you the game. Anger will negatively affect your judgment, which will cause more mistakes or missed opportunities during games or future games, so you must be careful. Forget about the result and focus on the quality of your moves.
Controlling emotions is one aspect of chess that is not taught in lessons. Think of yourself as your own chess coach and study how you react to blunders or tactical errors. This will allow you to gain valuable insight into how you think and, in turn, will allow you to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future.

Carlsen is weak on the inside.  Who says you have to be a paragon of virtue to be a world class player?

You think Alekhine and Tal were paragons of virtue?

my friend, you're welcome to come find out. I am in Jiu Jitsu 5 days a week for the past five years. It's easy to run  your mouth online, that's weak.

I get really mad when I lose a game that I should have won. But when I am really getting outplayed, I congratulate my opponent.

That's even sadder man XD. You have martial arts experience and you still lack the discipline to not get mad over losing a game!?

Like do you commit a felony everytime someone rolls you on your back?

Kowarenai

all the other kids with their pumped up kicks, you better run, better run outrun my gun

eh thats kinda a stereotype, not all martial artists are calm and disciplined, there can be those who are but are very emotional and hard on themselves when they fail

It’s perfectly fine to get mad. Everyone does it. What isn’t fine is to act on the fury and do something you’ll regret, whether it be verbally assaulting someone, breaking something, or the like.

NM acting like he doesn’t get mad lmao

sarahdakhel

Even when I win I feel myself stupid lol

we all get mad as it triggers us to our lowest point where we feel like we failed at something we love or have to succeed in which is heartbreaking. the NM just plays the game for fun or from my point of view doesnt really enjoy showing his true colors which is fine as some really feel nervous or like i said before a failure given lack of success, heartbreak or just really want to seem confident towards others. it doesnt really change the fact that despite everyones differences, we are all still united for our love in being better players and even better people
