Here's my analysis:

Ole Brucey does not appear to respect Superman.  This could be due to the obvious differences in their personalities, Batman being a real tough guy while Superman can be a bit of a cheese.

OR

Could it be that Bruce's apparant disrespect of Superman comes from a deep seeded resentment of Supey's powers?  Batman has no superpowers, while Superman is the very embodiment of the superpowerful superhero.

I believe all of you are wrong --- Batman is jealous of Superman because Batman has to cover almost all the upper part of his face with that cumbersome mask for his disguise and Superman only has to put on a pair of eyeglasses when he disguises himself as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent for the Daily Planet! That has to be the reason for Batman's lack of respect for Superman! lol

I think Batman does not respect Superman because Batman is just a normal man doing a superhero job. Superman, on the other hand, has natural abilities and it is easy for him. And, he gets more respect as he is known all over the world, and Batman is only famous in Gotham City.

It is not much unlike how patzers rag on Carlsen.

Speaking of which, why'd they get Afleck to play Bats. I thought they'd go with cumbersome. He did pretty good in Sherlock and that Star Wars movie playing Korn.
