Does chess.com recognise trans/women?

Creating 10,000 threads on the same topic is spam regardless of how right or wrong you are.

I have created 5 threads that pertain directly or indirectly to lgbtq+ issues over the past month.

2 were created because I was prompted to by complaints by anti-lgbtq+ posters who said they wanted those threads.

2 were created to ask one single specific relevant question about chess.com policies.

1 was created as a direct consequence of a side-track issue that I wished to discuss without derailing an existing thread.

That's it.

There's no spam.

All the other threads were created by other people, usually trolls. I just post on them. People mistakenly attribute those threads to me because I post so much on them. But I don't create them.

Did you ever reread their rules and see that I was right?

I reread them and I didn't see it mention NBi people at all. I've contacted them for clarification. Best we just wait to hear from them.

From that link, emphasis mine

  • The new US Chess policy reflects a position that will allow for players to affiliate with US Chess regardless of gender identification

And this is an option for profiles:

It would only come into play for gendered events or prizes

Thanks for that happy.png

To be clear, then, one can be NBi and play with them then?

Avatar of mrOpenRuy

why cant we just leave gender alone, just not talk about it and leave it for more private events.

i know you are obsessed with talking about it and itch to talk about it but at least try to control it

Avatar of Deadmanparty

It would only matter if attempting to get a woman's event or title.

In before the lock (grabs popcorn and waits for the inevitable).

Martin Stahl has already answered OP 3 times, I don't know what more he wants .

I don't think so, not for now at least, but if push comes to shove, best case scenario is its own division as trans people are still their actual biological sex at birth.

For regular open tournaments, it doesn't matter. The only place it would matter at all are for gender prizes or events.

Only people on the woman's list can play in woman only events.

Thought you weren't interested in drama?

I am interested in truth.

When chess organizations become like Canada's powerlifting organization, guys will wise up and choose to get easier money.

Sadly until chess.com beef up their moderation the forums will continue to be poisoned with sh9t like this.

Take the transphobic discussions elsewhere please. I wanted to ask a simple question and I got my answer. It's over.

Asking a serious question is poison? Or do you mean that trans issue threads only are poison?
