If there are 120,000 playing and the highest elo is around 30000 and each player is paired that have at most 25 elo difference and have 4 popular time control of somewhat equal popularity, we get 120000(2)/(30000/25)/4 =50. Assuming you are playing a 10 min time control, we get 20(60)/50 = 24 secs waiting time before you are paired with a player. Let's assume that there is an algorithm that will cut the wait time in quarters so that you will not wait too long in exchange of larger elo difference, you will wait on average of 6 secs with an elo difference of approximately 100 elo.
Does Chess.com use Bots as Players on their live Games?
Oops sorry, instead of 3000 i put 30000, so the answer should be 500 and for 10 mins the average wait time should be 2.4 secs so no algorithm is needed hahaha.
If 120,000 playing means the number of players playing right now, then there is no need to multiply by 2. Then the wait time for 10 mins time control will be 4.8 secs.
I encountered a guy not too long ago who only played his queen. I looked through his games and in pretty much all of them he was doing the same. Not only that, virtually every game i've played as black, I've had to use the alekhine defence because they all play the same opening.
you realize you're talking about 1.e4, the move played in almost 50% of games
I thought he was talking about that 1.Na3 opening, the one opening that one of the 3200 rated bots would go psycho if it was played against it.
I don´t want to play bots without asking me. If i want i use. I payed for it. What is the actual goal, it is becoming not reputable!
!
Well, good thing they don't use them then.

I think so because when they're running out of time, they just gives away all the pieces to be captured.
