They will increase in complexity, and I experience the same thing when I get a problem wrong; it takes off double points, it seems. There are a lot of factors that go into determining points gained and lost, however, and I do not know all of them. Difficulty and time to solve are two. I think tactics helps because it tries to help you spot mates or winning combinations under time pressure. The rating can get annoying but if you can look past that, I recommend it.
Does Tactic Trainer Help ?

I do agree with you!

@hntd187 There is an option in v3 to play tactics trainer unrated. Lots of users opt for that option.

@saurav2202 I do not believe I have had that problem, but sometimes it might repeat one that you got wrong, I think.

Yes it repeats the one you get wrong but if you spend a lot of time in a certain range say like in 1500-1600 or 1400-1500 you might get the puzzles which you did right also. I got membership for a month or so and then i used to do 300-400 tactics a day and there 1 in 20 was a repeat.

You should look at the solving % you have got correct and not worry about the rating. Honestly, if you've done 3000 tactics and got half of them wrong, you might as well not have even bothered
Its a bit of a separate discussion, but heres my experience

Just don't get bothered about the ratings they are mere numbers, focus on why you are commiting mistakes and recognize and memorize the pattern to get better in tactics , ratings will eventually come when you'd develop your intuition and you would identify by looking at the puzzle whether it is mate in 2,3 trapped piece or whatever.
