Does the Daily tournament started by a currently closed account continue?

I participated in the daily tournament"2nd Open Category chess championship" several months ago and completed the last game from it around June. It came to my attention a few hours ago that the last of the games are almost done, and that in theory the next round will start, but the account "ITPTHOR" was closed months ago. Does that mean the next round will start as usual, despite the creator not being present?

This is important because I am deciding whether or not it's worth it to withdraw from the tournament, as I'm not thrilled on participating in the next round of opponents rated far lower than me. I'm hoping it does in fact stop and not continue, because I wouldn't have to play the second round and it would not disturb the old results of the games.
Thank you for your time.

Don't forget that most of the advancing players were probably among the higher rated or are now much higher rated than they were

I see you were a 1245 and are now an 1823.

The quality of the second round and later games should be much higher than the first round.

It happened in a tournament I was playing in and it continued.

I already checked the current advance standings, and checked a few of their updated profiles. The majority are still in the 1400-1500 or lower, which is still really something I don't want to get stuck in. The risk/reward of those games is extremely unfavorable and I have to spend extra time making sure I don't lose or draw because the losses are massive. As far as I know, the pairings aren't in similar rating, and I'm not being paired against the other highest rated players.

I know it's entirely a preference of mine, but the content of those games vs lower rated opponents is just so low- it's not worth the copious amounts of time I take to fight for the win.

Why is that a bad thing?

Because I was hoping for a non-violent way out of the tournament. I don't want to withdraw, and I would prefer not to get stuck with a new wave of daily games against significantly lower-rated players.

You could always withdraw before the next round pairs, since it's either that or play some of the lower rated players.

But doesn't that mean all the games I won in my stats will be marked as losses? I know that the rating won't change, but it's the "false" numbers that represent my statistics that I want to avoid..

No. Finished games will not be affected.

But he's right. If you are going to withdraw, you need to do it before the next round starts.

I'm sorry, I don't think I said it clearly- in my statistics, should I withdraw, would change as all the games from that tournament become marked as losses. My loss counter would change by 15 or so, and my win count would drop by the same amount.  That's what I've heard from other forums. Is this not true?

If it isn't, I will be relieved, and will promptly withdraw, but I don't want to cause my stats to permanently reflect incorrect outcomes. I understand rating will not change, but it is the other numbers that I am concerned about.

Thank you for your time.

I'm fairly certain played games won't change in your stats after withdrawal. Your won games will still be won games; they certainly won't be turned to losses.

You have completed your round. You have no games in progress at this moment or at least you had none when I checked the other day.

Wait! You are right! I didn't read that passage correctly all those months ago.. forfeit all of the tournament games on time, and it will negatively affect timeout ratio... only on games that are still in progress? I had thought that the passage meant it would turn my won daily games into losses on the statistics page, despite not changing the rating from completed games. I'm sorry that I've been really pushy on the clarity of this, but can someone please confirm these statements one more time?

If this is true, then I'm so glad- I can withdraw safely
