My club just got accepted in the USCF not long ago, and we'll be having rated play starting in January.

EternalChess

I doubt it.. most blitz arent even rated. (As far as i know),

FIDE doesnt have seperated ratings (as far as i know) so i doubt it USCF does.

goldendog

USCF has quick and regular ratings.

woton

The USCF has two ratings, regular and quick.  I believe that the quick rating applies to games with a time limit of less than 30 minutes.  Both quick and regular apply to games between 30 and 60 minutes.

Dreadnought

Actually, USCF has three ratings:  regular OTB, quick OTB, and correspondence.

SoilentGreen

So, quick ratings don't affect regular ratings, and vice-versa?

lrj825

USCF has two OTB ratings: Quick and Regular. Games from G/5 - G/29 only affect your quick rating. Games from G/30 - G/60 affect both your quick and regular rating. Games longer than G/60 only affect your regular rating. Games quicker than G/5 are not rated by the USCF.

Skwerly

Correct, loren!  :)

NC008

uscf now has a blitz rating as well as quick and regular

WanderingPuppet

what time control does the new blitz rating apply to? i played in blitz events last night - my provisional blitz was 200 pts. less than my standard/quick but for other participants it was about equivalent to their standard [although by the end of the events I had nearly gained those 200 pts anyway :-) ].

CabassoG

Blitz applies to anything below 10 minutes but above 5

so 3+2 up to 10+0
