I am seeing people resigning way before nessecary more and more. I was up by a minor on turn 8 and have seen resignation, even though posistion was even, in fact my minor was open to take with a good tactic. But that's besides the point. People sometimes need to know that being down a few points doesn't mean you're going to lose. Opponents and blunder, or allow for a fantastic tactic. I want people who play chess here to know that resignation is good when the game is over to save time, but not when midgame is going strong, or when you're down by a few points. Here is an example of a game i just finished against an opponent where i was down and hope seemed lost. But I wanted to play out a few more moves, and BINGO!
So all I am trying to say is this...Even if you are down now, you can come back. Show your moxy and clever and comeback from a match you though was lost! Resignation is rarely an answer.
