Don't Start Abusing When A Rematch is Declined !!!!!

I don't know why some people feel they are entitled to at least one rematch after the first match is lost. And if the rematch is declined , they start on with their abusive behavior.

So I won a game against this guy , no big brain moves. Just two pawns up and easily converted it to a win. I had to go somewhere so I declined the rematch.....(well actually it doesnt matter why I did. I can decline if I simply wish to) . And then ......

I feel bad for these guys

Why are you not reporting them?

They’re just mad that they lost. This behavior is pretty common on Chess.com. Just report them, and move on.

I often try to understand , what do they achieve ? Is it a way for them to take out their frustration ?

Because they are angry they lost, so they want to intimidate you which by all rights shouldnt work if youre playing for fun and not trying to play perfectly. I never request rematches, i mostly just acknowledge they out played me and proceed to the next game

Right . I actually do accept rematches sometimes. If I see that my opponent is desperate for it I decline.

Maybe mental issues.

Yes lol. Most people would get intimidated by such behavior. I instead enjoy the content that these clowns give us

Also by the way , I checked that guy was a platinum member. If he behaved that way with me , I am sure he must have done it to others as well. Are these people not afraid of any action that could be taken against them ? Or do they think there will be leniency in the rules for them as they are paying members ??? (WHich in my opinion is true upto some extent)

Even if I want to do a rematch sometimes I can't....I just took a break from work and have to get back...the wife is calling me for dinner or to empty the trash, etc.  So I don't get upset when someone doesn't want a rematch.  Also, sometimes when starting a game I accidentally click on the wrong time, so I have to abort.  I hope the other player doesn't get mad at me, because it was an honest mistake .  So I don't take it personally when someone aborts on me...I assume they have their reasons and move on.

i know this statement is probably wrong but i believe that people with memberships arent closed by chess.com easily since you know they give money and well chess.com wont really notice much unless many report it but again this is just speculation based on some of my experiences

Yeah. I remember a few months ago, there was a forum-troll named Jason Repa. He would make a bunch of different accounts, and purchase a diamond membership on all of them. I remember when me and a couple of other people were trying to stop him on various different forums, and it took 2 entire weeks to ban him (multiple people reported him)…

Yeah . I mean if its a paying member , they try to look for every possibility other than banning that person. They ban only when a certain line is crossed.
