Draaws and Rating Changes

Apparently, a draw gives no points to the lower rated player and the higher rated player loses no points. This seems to be a chess.com phenomenon .... not the case for USCF ratings.

So, if I draw with someone rated 50 points more than I am ... it means nothing?

A draw will give rating points to the lower rated player, if the rating difference is large enough. The large the difference, the larger the rating gain. Assuming a well-established rating, I think +1 for a draw starts at around a 30 point difference.
