Neither! Go c4
I see you are a man of culture as well
I always start with f4. I don't think many people know the strength of it. Usually, you can quickly follow with g4.
Yes, of course

Thank-you! Good enough for Bobby Fischer to switch later in his career.
I've been play e4 ever since I start chess, so I'm for comfortable play e4. d4 occasionally, and c4 if I just want to play a reverse sicilian

you've got to be trolling
I like closed games, so I pick d4 over e4, but objectively speaking, d4 has LOTS of really good responses to play for a win, and though the defense with the most theory (SIcilian) is on the e4 side, I'd rather avoid the KID, the Grunfeld, and the Nimzo.
e4 is either a sharp attacking game or an instant draw depending on your opponent, though i still prefer it to d4

games examples of instant draws?
For me it doesn't really matter that much, how the game goes with e4 or d4 really depend what opening line you use and your play style
e4 is for people who like developing minor pieces and controlling the center. d4 is for people who like making pawn structures and controlling most of the game with the pawns and meanwhile, they also make strong attacks. Against e4, Sicilian gets annoying but once you learn more theory, it won’t be annoying any more. Clearly, it depends on your play style. For some, changing from e4 to d4 helped, while others changing from d4 to e4 helped. Both of them aren’t bad and both can be good at any level.
It depends. It depends on if you are a beginner and need easy to understand tactical attack and counter-attack play. Or if you are an advanced player who already has some understanding of chess strategic thinking who might like a slower positional game. Plus it depends on what kind of personality you are; if you are rash and adventurous or if you are more methodical and so on.
