I'll join because I really want to know how to do the difficult pawnless endgames. There is plenty of information on the net about mate against lone king with one or two pieces. These are the four elementary checkmates which are pretty straight forward anyway, where ever you start from on the board. But queen against rook is too difficult for me,
if the pieces are scattered across the board in a random start position. And queen and rook against rook is even worse and, according to some people, can't be done inside 50 moves from many positions. Rook against knight is another which seems impossible if the pieces aren't favourably placed. I can do rook against bishop when the king is away from the corner that his bishop can reach. And survive if I am the weaker side and I have got my king in the "safe corner".
But what I know is small compared to what I don't know. So I hope to learn from others, and I am happy to help people who are just starting out and know less than me.
